A. Policy

Malawi Airlines does not permit the carriage of pets or companion animals in the passenger cabin on any of its scheduled flights.
Notwithstanding the above, Malawi Airlines may, at its sole discretion and subject to applicable laws, aviation regulations, and operational and safety requirements, permit the carriage of certified service animals accompanying passengers with disabilities.
For the avoidance of doubt, emotional support animals shall not be accepted for carriage in the passenger cabin, regardless of documentation presented.
Passengers intending to travel with a service animal must notify Malawi Airlines in advance and provide valid supporting documentation, including proof of training and certification of the animal as a service animal, where applicable.
Malawi Airlines reserves the right to refuse carriage of any service animal where:
Approval for carriage of a service animal shall be granted on a case-by-case basis and shall not constitute a precedent or guarantee approval for future travel.
