Malawi Airlines, 49% owned by Ethiopian Airlines, is announcing to its customers and the public that all operations of its flights and the partner Ethiopian Airlines flights continued to connect Africa to Africa and to the rest of the world with its multiple flights through the Lilongwe and Addis Ababa Hubs.
We would like to assure the public and our customers that both airlines are conducting their operations smoothly with the usual high standards of operational excellence and customer services.
On Thursday, we witnessed that Addis Ababa Bole International Airport was packed with connecting passengers from across the world, and the ground staff were providing the usual high standard service with the strong conviction to the mission of the airline; while at the same time attending to the grieving families of flight ET302/10 March victims.
Ethiopian Airlines has taken the step to immediately ground its Boeing 737 - Max 8 fleet until further notice. Following the Ethiopian Airlines move, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 is grounded all over the world, including the USA and Canada until further notice from the regulators.
Both Malawi Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines will continue to deliver the global standard service that the passengers expect from the strong global brands with strong commitment to passenger safety.
